An accomplished family law attorney, Arlene Kock has been serving clients in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 40 years. She received her JD from the University of San Francisco Law School and subsequently spent six years gaining professional experience through such positions as associate attorney with the Law Offices of Alfred A. Affinito and managing attorney of Yanello & Flippen.
In 1984, Arlene Kock started her own solo practice, which she continues to operate today as chief executive officer. At the Bay Area lawyer’s firm, 90 percent of her practice focuses on full-service family law matters including divorce and custody cases; she also represents clients in issues related to domestic partnerships and same sex marriages, the latter being a relatively new area of law. The remainder of her law practice entails providing representation in general legal areas like personal injury ,criminal and civil matters.
Engaged for decades in the local legal community, Arlene Kock is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Alameda County Bar Association, whose Referrals Services Committee she also lead as chair. As chair of the Ethics and Civility Committee, Arlene Kock was instrumental in drafting the Association’s Statement of Professionalism and Civility. She currently maintains membership with the Contra Costa Bar Association.
